はじめに

本プライバシーポリシーは、おおた（以下「当開発者」）が提供する Chrome 拡張機能「StashTab」（以下「本拡張機能」）における利用者情報の取り扱いについて定めたものです。

当開発者は、利用者の情報を収集するサーバーを運営していません。本拡張機能が扱う情報は利用者のブラウザ内に保存され、当開発者に送信されることはありません。

1. 本拡張機能が扱う情報と保存場所

ブックマーク情報

• 利用目的: 新しいタブにブックマークをフォルダごとに表示する、ブックマークを検索する、最近追加したブックマークを表示する、リンク切れの可能性があるブックマークを確認する、ブックマークを CSV ファイルに書き出すために利用します。
• 保存場所: Chrome のブックマーク API を通じて読み取るだけで、本拡張機能がブックマークの内容を別に保存することはありません。また、本拡張機能がブックマークを追加・変更・削除することはありません。
• CSV への書き出し: 利用者が書き出しを実行した場合にのみ、CSV ファイルが利用者の端末に保存されます。外部には送信されません。

各種設定情報

• 利用目的: 設定画面で行ったデザインやレイアウトのカスタマイズ（テーマ、フォント、フォントサイズ、背景など）を保存し、次回以降も同じ設定で利用できるようにするために利用します。
• 保存場所: Chrome の chrome.storage.sync 領域に保存されます。利用者が Chrome の同期を有効にしている場合、この設定は Google アカウントを通じて利用者の他の端末の Chrome にも同期されます（この同期は Chrome の機能によるもので、当開発者が内容を受け取ることはありません）。

背景写真のキャッシュ情報

• 利用目的: 「背景をランダムな写真にする」機能が有効な場合に、Unsplash から取得した写真の URL と撮影者のクレジット情報を一時的に保存し、表示を速くするために利用します。保存した情報は 1 時間で新しい写真に置き換わります。
• 保存場所: 利用者のブラウザ内の chrome.storage.local 領域に保存されます。

利用状況の情報（インストール日時・新しいタブを開いた回数）

• 利用目的: 一定期間お使いいただいた方に、Chrome ウェブストアでのレビューのお願いを一度だけ表示するために利用します。
• 保存場所: 利用者のブラウザ内の chrome.storage.local 領域に保存されます。外部には送信されません。

2. 外部サービスとの通信

本拡張機能は、機能を提供するために以下の外部サービスと通信します。いずれも、当開発者がその通信の内容を受け取ることはありません。

Google のファビコン取得サービス

• 目的: ブックマークの横に各サイトのアイコン（ファビコン）を表示するため、またリンク切れチェック機能でサイトのアイコンを取得できるかを確認するために利用します。
• 送信される情報: アイコンを取得するために、ブックマークのドメイン名（例: example.com。ページの URL 全体は送信しません）が Google のサーバー（www.google.com）に送信されます。あわせて、通常の Web 通信と同様に IP アドレスやブラウザの種類などの情報が Google に送られます。
• Google のプライバシーポリシー: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Google Fonts

• 目的: 設定画面で Google Fonts のフォント（Noto Sans JP など）を選んだ場合に、そのフォントを読み込むために利用します。初期設定のフォントでは通信は発生しません。
• 送信される情報: フォントを取得するための一般的なリクエスト情報（IP アドレス、ブラウザの種類など）が Google のサーバーに送信されます。

Unsplash API

• 目的: 「背景をランダムな写真にする」機能が有効な場合に、写真をランダムに取得するために利用します。この機能は初期設定では無効です。
• 送信される情報: 写真を取得するための一般的なリクエスト情報（IP アドレス、ブラウザの種類など）が Unsplash のサーバーに送信されます。利用者のブックマークや設定の内容は送信しません。

3. 利用者情報の取り扱いについて

• 当開発者は、本拡張機能で扱う情報を、上記の目的以外に利用しません。
• 当開発者は、利用者の情報を販売したり、第三者に提供したりしません。
• 当開発者は、利用者の情報を広告や信用力の判断などに利用しません。

4. 情報の削除

• 設定情報は、設定画面の「リセット」ボタンで削除できます。
• 本拡張機能を Chrome から削除すると、chrome.storage.sync と chrome.storage.local に保存された本拡張機能の情報はすべて削除されます。
• ブックマークそのものは Chrome の機能で管理されており、本拡張機能を削除しても消えることはありません。

5. プライバシーポリシーの変更

当開発者は、必要に応じて本プライバシーポリシーを変更します。変更後のプライバシーポリシーは、本ページに掲載した時点から効力を生じるものとします。

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Ota (the "Developer") handles user information in the Chrome extension "StashTab" (the "Extension").

The Developer does not operate any server that collects user information. Information handled by the Extension is stored in the user's browser and is never sent to the Developer.

1. Information the Extension Handles and Where It Is Stored

Bookmarks

• Purpose: To display bookmarks grouped by folder on the new tab page, search bookmarks, show recently added bookmarks, check for bookmarks that may be broken links, and export bookmarks to a CSV file.
• Storage: The Extension only reads bookmarks through Chrome's bookmarks API and does not store a separate copy of them. The Extension never adds, modifies, or deletes bookmarks.
• CSV export: A CSV file is saved to the user's device only when the user runs the export. It is not sent anywhere.

Settings

• Purpose: To save the design and layout customizations made on the settings page (theme, font, font size, background, etc.) so that they are applied the next time.
• Storage: Saved in Chrome's chrome.storage.sync area. If the user has Chrome Sync turned on, these settings are synced to Chrome on the user's other devices through their Google Account. This sync is a feature of Chrome, and the Developer does not receive its contents.

Background Photo Cache

• Purpose: When the "Use a random photo for the background" feature is enabled, the URL of the photo retrieved from Unsplash and the photographer's credit are temporarily stored to speed up display. The stored information is replaced with a new photo after one hour.
• Storage: Saved in the chrome.storage.local area of the user's browser.

Usage Information (Installation Date and Number of New Tabs Opened)

• Purpose: To show a one-time request for a review on the Chrome Web Store to users who have used the Extension for a certain period.
• Storage: Saved in the chrome.storage.local area of the user's browser. It is not sent anywhere.

2. Communication with External Services

The Extension communicates with the following external services to provide its features. In no case does the Developer receive the contents of these communications.

Google's Favicon Service

• Purpose: To display each site's icon (favicon) next to bookmarks, and to check whether a site's icon can be retrieved in the "Link Checker" feature.
• Information sent: To retrieve icons, the domain names of bookmarks (e.g. example.com; full page URLs are not sent) are sent to Google's servers (www.google.com). As with any web request, information such as the IP address and browser type is also sent to Google.

Google Fonts

• Purpose: To load a Google Fonts font (such as Noto Sans JP) when the user selects one on the settings page. No communication occurs with the default font.
• Information sent: General request information needed to retrieve the font (IP address, browser type, etc.) is sent to Google's servers.
• Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Unsplash API

• Purpose: To retrieve random photos when the "Use a random photo for the background" feature is enabled. This feature is disabled by default.
• Information sent: General request information needed to retrieve photos (IP address, browser type, etc.) is sent to Unsplash's servers. The user's bookmarks and settings are not sent.

3. Handling of User Information

• The Developer does not use information handled by the Extension for any purpose other than those described above.
• The Developer does not sell user information or provide it to third parties.
• The Developer does not use user information for advertising or for determining creditworthiness.

4. Deleting Information

• Settings can be deleted with the "Reset" button on the settings page.
• When the Extension is removed from Chrome, all of the Extension's information stored in chrome.storage.sync and chrome.storage.local is deleted.
• Bookmarks themselves are managed by Chrome and are not deleted when the Extension is removed.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

The Developer may change this Privacy Policy as necessary. The revised Privacy Policy takes effect when it is posted on this page.

If there is any discrepancy between the Japanese and English versions, the Japanese version prevails.
